After two months of scribbling and after a watercolor version, then put away, I am still looking for credible faces for Paolo (above the last and I hope definitive sketch) and Francesca. The background of the scene (lustful dragged by the storm) will be a playful compositional game, but to get there you have to solve the physiognomy of above said two wretches. It’s a step that every illustrator has taken, I must say without particular originality. This originality thing is turning out to be some kind of trap…
